Strabismus

Strabismus or squint is a misalignment of the eyes resulting in potential permanent visual impairment. There are various reasons for this and you will need a complete ophthalmic exam to formulate a treatment plan. Dr Gerber will also refer you to an Orthoptist for further assessment. Surgery to correct the alignment of the eye will only be performed if other medical therapy or spectacles has failed.
