Dr Willem-Martin Gerber

MB. Ch.B (medical degree), Dip. Ophth (Diploma in Ophthalmology), FCOphth (Fellowship of the college of Ophthalmologist South Africa), MMed Ophth (Masters degree in Ophthalmology)

Willem-Martin hails from King William’s Town, a picturesque town in the heart of the vibrant Eastern Cape Province. Graduating from the University of Stellenbosch in 2006, he completed both his internship and community service years in Port Elizabeth. His affinity for ophthalmology was well established as a medical student, but his true appreciation of this exciting and dynamic field developed while working as a medical officer in the Port Elizabeth Hospital Complex Department of Ophthalmology. Willem has successfully completed a diploma in ophthalmology and obtained his specialization degree from Stellenbosch University in 2016. He has a special interest in cornea and lens based refractive surgeries, glaucoma and medical retina.
